Weight Management Classes
Weight management classes are free to members and non-members.
The Curves plan focuses on getting your metabolism working for you rather than against you. It is not about constantly dieting,
but learning how to eat healthfully.
Drop-Ins are welcome, but we have a limited number of chairs, so make a reservation if you want to know you will be sitting and not standing :)

This class explains the Curves Weight Management plan - Phase 1 and Phase 2 (effective dieting). This class takes about 1 1/2 hours.

$39 dollars !?!?!?
Does it sound expensive? I know that it did to me when I first thought about signing up. If I had not been so desperate to make a change, I probably would have let the monthly rate scare me off. But it is sooo worth it. In about 2 months I went from thinking it was expensive to thinking it was a great deal. Nothing I ever tried ever worked for me before. I might take it off quick, but I also put it back on quick.
When you think about it, you only have to give up 1 meal out for 2 in a low budget restuarant to pay for something that is really good for yourself. Don't let the monthly fee put you off. Just do it.

CURVES BUCKS WEDNESDAY!!
(AKA - We Want to See You Show Up AT LEAST ONCE PER MONTH!!)
The middle Wednesday of each month will be Curves Bucks Wednesday. All Antioch Members with a key tag will automatically receive $25 Curves Bucks just for showing up! In addition, they will be automatically entered in a drawing to win an "I Love Curves - Antioch, CA" t-shirt.
If we get anywhere from 1-50 members show up, we will draw one name.
If we get 51-100 members show up, we will draw 2 names.
If we get 101-150 members show up, we will draw 3 names.
There may be other one-time specials, etc that happen on Curves Bucks Wednesdays on a hit-and-miss basis, but you'll have to show up to find out about them.

Curves members are telling me that friends that work out at Inches A Weigh on Golf Course Road have gone to their workouts to find the place closed. They said there is no information available about the closure, it is just closed.
I have said that I will waive the service fee for any Inches A Weigh members that wish to join Curves In Antioch. This is good until July 15 only, so don't delay. Keep your workout routines going!!
Current members with friends in this situation should book an appointment for them to come in and see us. Figure out when they want to come in and get an appointment in the book on the desk. Make sure your name is next to the appointment. When your friend joins, you will earn a Curves Antioch shirt! Shirts should be here in another week or so!!

Hello to the Curves In Antioch Members!
My name is Sue Espy and I became the owner of the Curves in Antioch this May. Curves is working for me and I didn't want to see the Antioch Curves close. I’ve been a member for 10 months and have lost 17lbs. While I was initially focused on the weight loss, I have actually become more excited by the difference that losing inches and toning up muscles is making!
I am open to your comments and suggestions and would appreciate it if you would take the time to fill out our survey and give me your feedback. I'd also appreciate you passing the survey on to past or potential members that might have feedback for me. Lots of people would like to see various changes. What changes I actually make will be dependent on member interest, franchise regulations, state regulations, legal issues, and budget constraints.
We have quite of mix of people within Curves in Antioch, from couch potatoes working out for the first times to energizer bunnies that never quit. We have people that are highly focused on their workout and people that get so busy talking they forget to "change stations now". We have older members and we have younger members. And of course, we have the entire range between both ends. My goal will be to find appropriate balance between everyone's various needs and wants.
As I make changes, I’ll put up “Club News” to let everyone know what is happening. I will be adding an opt-in form if you prefer to get the news via email.
If you like Curves, telling others about us is important! One way to do this is to share the Diane magazine - pass it to a friend - leave it in a waiting room - keep it going! Tell other people about Curves! (I heard about Curves from my sister.) Members are our #1 source of new members, which helps to keep our community feel.
We do need to bring our membership level back up to a self-sustaining level. If you work in the area for a business that is willing to allow us to leave flyers for distribution, please let me know. We will definitely want to get information out on the new, free weight management classes as they start.
You may fill out the survey on paper and submit it in a sealed envelope or you can fill it in on-line. (Don't forget to tell past members and potential members – especially if they wish to comment on our current hours.) You may add your name and contact information to the survey or leave it off. Only I will open/read the raw surveys. Any information that is shared with staff and others will be "merged data" where individual responses can not be identified.
